The presence of skin disease is usually obvious due to the visible clinical signs. A variety of skin diseases can affect livestock, many of which are serious welfare concerns and important causes of production loss.
Moredun works on a number of pathogens that cause skin disease in sheep, cattle, poultry, humans and wildlife; whether it is a bacteria, parasite or virus.
Our understanding of diseases such as sheep scab, orf, mastitis, squirrelpox and poultry red mite has increased in recent years and Moredun continues to work in these areas to help establish effective management and control measures.
