Moredun employs over 170 scientists, vets and scientific support staff who work in a number of different disciplines, allowing for the study of a wide variety of diseases and conditions.
Moredun has particular scientific expertise in veterinary bacteriology, virology, parasitology, which is underpinned with support from bioinformatics, immunology, molecular biology, pathology, surveillance and bioservices.
Moredun’s scientific capabilities scan genomic and proteomic analysis of pathogens to host immune responses, epidemiology and population biology. This holistic approach to animal disease research is one of the recognised strengths of Moredun.
