Cryptosporidiosis has a major impact on the health and welfare of cattle and can result in significant production losses. Cryptosporidium is also a serious zoonotic parasite, persisting in water courses posing a human health risk.

At this meeting, speakers from the veterinary, medical, environmental and water industries will explain what measures farmers can take to protect their livestock from this infection. They will also highlight how farmers can control the parasite load into the environment, which is critical to help maintain a safe water supply.

This meeting is an accredited CPD event for SQPs and has been awarded 16 CPD points by AMTRA.

Admission is free and open to all. For further information please contact Maggie Bennett or Hazel Rice on 0131 445 5111 or email info@moredun.org.uk
